Casual Luxury Dining in Southern California
Challenge
This 4,320-square-foot restaurant and bar needed to be a seamless and vital element of a 163,000-square-foot Neiman Marcus store renovation and expansion, which we handled at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
SOLUTION
The floor plan of the restaurant draws shoppers into a focused entry sequence, which dramatically opens up to the main dining room, moving towards the grand window and terrace. Large-framed mirrors along an interior wall reflect the grand window, expanding the connection to the outdoors. Color, pattern, and motif are applied on mirror frame details, area rugs, and the main carpet, bringing to mind the tones, hues, and lush vegetation of Southern California.
An intimate bar is located outside the restaurant entry to attract customers to have the chance to look out over the three-level atrium and store. From the main dining area, patrons can gaze at the outdoor garden terrace with a distant view to the Pacific Ocean.
